The DingFabrik Köln e.V. is aiming to create a fab lab in cologne. It's still in a very early stage, but the plenum every Monday shows that it's going on: Today we assembled some shelves and packed stuff into them, at the end of the week we'll have tables and the motivation of the members to get everything started is great.
In the meantime, the DIYDA (do it yourself design & architecture) is taking place as a part of the plan 10. In cooperation with Jack in the box, Coworking Cologne and some others, you can enjoy a program with very interesting talks and workshops about everything you can do yourself. Some of the workshops (like the workshop of Fabienne about 3D printing with the MakerBot which I'm really looking forward to and the DIY-Stamps workshop from Kasa) are taking place in our new rooms, so it's a great chance to come by and get an impression of us.
